CCCP Gromov Automatic Gunmetal Green
Mikhail Gromov was a Soviet Military aviator, test pilot and commander. He is best remembered as an aviation pioneer during the 1930’s and most notably for his July 1937 Non-stop Trans-Polar flight between Moscow and San Jacinto California – across the North Pole. This was a remarkable achievement and the first of its kind, setting a new Non-stop flight distance record, flying the Tupolev ANT-25. Gromov is regarded a legend and true icon of Soviet aviation history and he became a celebrity, awarded one of the first awardees of the Hero of the Soviet Union honor by the state.
