The “Almaz Space Station“ is the name of the basic project of the Soviet Space Station created at the beginning of the sixties. All Soviet orbital stations (“Saliut“ and “Mir“) and the modern Russian block of ISS (International Space Station) were built on base of the same Almaz project.
